Sizzling With Purpose: Solon Beef Days 2025 & How SACF Keeps the Grill Hot All Year
July 18–19, 2025 will again turn Main Street into a mouth-watering cloud of hickory smoke as Solon Beef Days fires up for its 54th year. But the festival’s true flavor lasts long after the final guitar riff—thanks to the Solon Area Community Foundation (SACF), which channels Beef Days profits into scholarships, park upgrades, and other local causes.
Quick-Hit Schedule (Highlights)
- Friday, 5 PM – Sugar & Spice kicks off live music on the bandstand.
- 6 PM – 10 PM – Bingo on Main Street (near Hwy 1).
- 7 PM – Famous Hay Bale Toss (registration 6 PM).
- 9 PM – Slap ’N Tickle transports us to 1987 with hair-metal classics.

Bring Your Appetite — Food Line-Up & Serving Hours
- Friday 5 PM – 11 PM (or until sold out)
- Saturday 11 AM – 11 PM (or until the last bun is gone)
Menu Highlights:
- Steak sandwiches – replacing the retired steak-dinner tradition and kinder on the wallet.
- Classic pork burgers & pork-loin sandwiches
- Fresh-squeezed lemonade & ice-cold iced tea to offset that July humidity
Pro tip: Lines for steak sandwiches are shortest right after the Hay Bale Toss—plan your protein pit-stop accordingly.
Why the Sizzle Matters Beyond the Weekend
- Scholarships: A slice of Beef Days revenue tops up SACF’s yearly awards for Solon High seniors.
- Community Grants: Festival proceeds often match SACF grants for trail upgrades, library tech, and fire-house gear.
- Volunteer Pipeline: Many Beef Days committee members overlap with SACF boards—proof good deeds pair well with smoked beef.
3 Easy Ways to Keep the Fire Burning

- Volunteer: We welcome fresh ideas, strong backs, and anyone who can run a corn-dog fryer.
- Spread the Word: Share this post and tag @SolonAreaCF—then invite your crew to Beef Days.
Bottom line: Enjoy the steak sandwich, cheer the parade, and know every bite helps Solon thrive long after the last firework fizzles.
